This policy explains what data Silica, Inc. (“Silica,” “we,” “us”) collects when you use our website, dashboard, or API, and how that data is used, shared, and protected. It applies to visitors, customers, and the drivers, staff, and end-customers of our customers whose data flows through the platform.

We collect information in three ways:

• Account data you provide directly: name, work email, company, and billing details.
• Operational data generated by using the platform: orders, inventory levels, vehicle location and diagnostics, storefront and POS transactions.
• Usage data collected automatically: device information, IP address, and interactions with our dashboard and website.

We use collected data to:

• Operate and improve Logistics, Telematics, Storefronts, and POS.
• Provide live tracking, dispatch, and inventory sync features that depend on real-time data.
• Secure the platform, detect fraud, and investigate abuse.
• Communicate service updates, billing notices, and, with consent, product announcements.

We do not sell personal data. We share data with subprocessors that help us run the platform, such as cloud infrastructure, payment processors, and mapping providers, each bound by contract to protect it. We may also disclose data when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Silica and our customers.

Operational data (orders, telemetry, transactions) is retained for the length of your subscription plus a standard recovery window, after which it is deleted or anonymized. Account and billing records are retained as required for tax and accounting purposes. You can request earlier deletion, subject to legal retention obligations.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is governed by least-privilege controls, and our infrastructure is monitored around the clock. Details of our broader security program are available on our Security page.

Silica is a business product and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

We'll update this page when our practices change, and update the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated to account administrators by email.
